Agronomic reminder : a minimum of 3 sites is required per field for <strong>irrigation management<\/strong>, to adress the heterogeneity of water in irrigated soils.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.challenge-agriculture.fr\/en\/equipment\/watermark-sensors\/\">Learn more about Watermark sensors <\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Caracteristics\u202f:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>1 input for temperature sensor.<\/li>\n<li>4 inputs for Watermark sensors.<\/li>\n<li>1 input for external battery 5V to 12V.<\/li>\n<li>UART serial communication.<\/li>\n<li>Consumption of 800\u00b5A max, while reading sensors.<\/li>\n<li>Automatic\u00a0 sleep mode, consuming 20\u00b5A.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Agronomic reminder : a minimum of 3 sites is required per field for <strong>irrigaion management<\/strong>, to adress the heterogeneity of water in irrigated soils.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>SPUC interfacing with Arduino<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>SPUC is designed to plug directly the <strong>Arduino<\/strong> MKR boards, such as MKR WiFi 1010, MKR GSM 1400, MKR WAN 1300 (LoRa) and MKR FOX 1200.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18463 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"264\" height=\"192\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu.png 264w, https:\/\/dev.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu-150x109.png 150w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 264px) 100vw, 264px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The UART port, fonctionning beetween 3.3V and 5V, allows compatibility with many Iot solutions on the market.<\/p>\n<h3>Power supply<\/h3>\n<p><strong>SPUC<\/strong> is directly powered by its mother board, for example by the <strong>Arduino MKR<\/strong> board, or other IoT solutions, beetween 3.3V and 5V.<\/p>\n<p>A power supply connector allows an external battery to power both SPUC + Arduino MKR.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-18466 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"163\" height=\"259\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dev.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu2.png 163w, https:\/\/dev.challenge-agriculture.fr\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/01\/spu2-94x150.png 94w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 163px) 100vw, 163px\" \/><\/p>\n<h3>UART settings, to comunicate with SPUC :<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>2400 bauds<\/li>\n<li>8 bits of data<\/li>\n<li>no parity bit<\/li>\n<li>1 stop bit<\/li>\n<li>no flow control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><strong><br \/>\nReading sensors<br \/>\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The mother board must send a command \u2018s\u2019 (snapshot).<\/p>\n<p>SPUC answers in hexadecimal\u00a0 : 0001,FE,2480,03A6,FFFE,FFFE<\/p>\n<p>First is ID, second is soil temperature in Fahrenheit, then 4\u00a0 <strong>Watermark sensors<\/strong> in Ohms.<\/p>\n<p>Those values are easily convertible in other units.
